Plum first to offer home cyber cover for Irish brokers
19 July 2017: Plum Underwriting (Plum), the specialist home insurance managing general agent, has expanded its portfolio for Irish brokers with the launch of Premier, the all risks High Net Worth (HNW) policy, the first to offer embedded home cyber coverage in the Republic of Ireland. As part of the company’s strategy to provide brokers in Ireland with a dedicated market for difficult to place non-standard risks, Plum has also enhanced its Amethyst Mid Net Worth (MNW) all risks home insurance policy providing embedded home cyber cover. Plum was the first HNW and MNW home insurance provider to offer cyber and data risks as part of the cover.
The portfolio has been further expanded with the launch of Plum’s Unoccupied policy for vacant residential homes offering a choice of three levels of cover (from basic to full perils) for both buildings and contents. Cover is also available on short-term policy periods.
Commenting on the launch of the new and enhanced products, David Whitaker, managing director, said: “Our lead position in the specialist household insurance market enables us to offer brokers a real alternative to the current limited private client insurance solutions available.
“The expansion of our portfolio also demonstrates a commitment to providing Irish brokers with a one-stop-shop for all specialist home insurance regardless of risk type or size.”
