MGAA recruits Julia Coakley as new Head of Operations
The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) has today announced the appointment of Julia Coakley as Head of Operations.
Previously Senior Customer Relationship Manager at the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) and before that, the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB), Julia has also worked as a specialist HNW underwriter at insurer Chubb and at insurance broker Lark.
Julia will be responsible for all operational functions of the MGAA and is a direct replacement for Ben Busfield.
Talking about her appointment, Julia commented:
“I am excited to be joining the MGAA at this important time in its development. My primary focus will be on ensuring we continue to deliver operational excellence and service to all our membership tiers in addition to developing meaningful and relevant business relationships for the benefit of the MGAA community.”
MGAA CEO Mike Keating added:

“Julia, who will lead the operational functions of the Association, will work closely with Helen Ferris who is implementing our communications and digital strategy ensuring we continue to deliver enhanced and consistent value to all our members.”
