HDI Global Speciality SE appoints Alan Waters as Global Head of Distribution and Business Development

HDI Global Specialty SE has announced the appointment of Alan Waters as Global Head of Distribution and Business Development. Alan will report to Richard Taylor, a member of the Executive Board of Management and UK Managing Director at HDI Global Specialty SE with immediate effect.

HDI Global Specialty SE is the new specialty lines insurer created from the merging of the specialty lines activities of Hannover Re and HDI Global SE. The internal appointment is a newly created position to support the company’s growth and the management of its global distribution chains. 

Waters joins from HDI Global SE UK Branch, where he worked for 9 years as Director of Corporate Risks division and was a member of the UK Executive team. He has over 30 years’ experience in broking, primarily responsible for UK and then the global placement strategy with Aon and HSBC respectively.
