Shepherd Compello launches entertainment team

Specialist insurance broker Shepherd Compello has today announced the launch of a new entertainment team led by Nic Miles and David Bishop. Their primary focus will be entertainment risks associated with live touring, sports, theatrical productions and all other staged events.

David Bishop brings 30 years’ experience as a city broker placing all aspects of cancellation, abandonment, non-appearance, liability and terrorism insurance in the Lloyd’s, London and European insurance markets. He has handled the insurance needs of various artists, their respective managers and booking agents. David has worked with some of the largest independent promoters and event organisers around the world including major sporting events.

Nic Miles has a wealth of experience in both the insurance and entertainment industries developed over a 40-year career. He has been the broker for the tours of major artists including; George Michael, FAITH, Depeche Mode, Dire Straits and Pink Floyd. Nic also has direct knowledge of client needs having worked in both the US record industry and in artist management.
