INSTANDA appoints MD as it expands into Life and Health sector

INSTANDA, the cloud-based digital insurance platform, has appointed former senior Swiss Re executive Trevor Davis to the newly created role of managing director.

Davis was previously CEO of Swiss Re’s Life and Pensions operation and has over 20 years’ experience in the Life, Pensions and Health sectors. A former adviser to INSTANDA, Davis joins with immediate effect, marking the leading InsurTech’s expansion into the Life and Health market, following their success in Property and Casualty where they work with major insurance carriers and distributors globally.

INSTANDA CEO Tim Hardcastle said:

“INSTANDA enables insurance companies to build and launch digital insurance products rapidly without coding, large upfront investment or extensive build times. Trevor’s considerable knowledge and expertise in Life and Health will help us adapt our platform so that we can offer the same agility to Life and Health clients. I am thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

Davis added:

“The insurance sector is facing unprecedented challenges to provide more flexible and relevant services to global and local customers in ways that are relevant to their changing lives. INSTANDA’s platform provides that flexibility by enabling insurance companies to rapidly create, underwrite and distribute existing and new products and solutions to market, whilst easily integrating to new technologies and leverage traditional legacy platforms. Extending INSTANDA’s functionality and bringing this capability to the Life and Health market is a natural next step and I’m looking forward to driving this growth.”

INSTANDA has been adopted by over 40 insurers around the world and in December announced that Hiscox, will be using the INSTANDA platform for European lines of business.
