HDI Global Specialty SE Australia expands aviation presence

HDI Global Specialty SE Australia, the specialty lines insurer, has expanded its growing aviation presence with two senior underwriting appointments.

Dylan Jones, a commercial pilot who joins from Swiss Re, has 14 years’ aviation insurance experience in both aviation broking and underwriting. Dylan will be based in Brisbane and joins as senior underwriter. This latest appointment follows HDI Global Specialty SE Australia’s recent appointment of senior underwriter Chris Rose, who joined the group from QBE in July this year.

With these latest additions, HDI Global Specialty SE Australia has strengthened its footprint in the region, with the aim of becoming a major aviation insurance provider to the local market.
